How much?

Just a quick lesson on cost vs. value.

When inquiring about a wedding dj, we answer each inquiry that comes to my website as quickly and professionally as possible. However, a couple times a month something like this comes across our desk.  It is a wake up call about unprofessional djs.

They won’t leave a phone number, won’t leave ANY details, they just want pricing. Now I don’t usually rant, but I’m going to just a bit here. This was sent exactly three days before the reception. The “just pricing” is likely what got them into this jam in the first place. This is Exhibit A for you get what you pay for.

I will answer every call professionally, of course. But this whole situation is a recipe for disaster. I sent an email with pricing levels, assuming that it’s for the reception only. No reply.

I sincerely hope they end up with a good option. And not every event needs a top shelf DJ or entertainer, I get that. But when someone shops on price alone, they’ll get just that…a low price.  PLEASE be careful when selecting your entertainment, this is really not the type of thing that should be trusted to the lowest bidder!
